There are a lot of great costume ideas out there, from onesies and pajamas to fancy duds, but what about the staff at a saloon? We know that staff at a saloon probably aren’t at a baby shower, but they’re still baby wearing and mom wearing too. And we’re not talking about the staff in a bar, but rather the staff at a bar. The kind of place that serves beer and live music, and everyone dresses up to go.
The best things in life are free, but I don’t think anyone could disagree that the best things in life are for sale, and when it comes to baby gear, diaper bags are a great example. Sure, they’re easy to find, but most of them are boring and predictable. You’ll find the same old designs and colors all over the market, but luckily, there’s a better way to carry your baby: a diaper bag that’s great for moms and for their babies.
We have searched far and wide for the best baby and children’s costume ideas, and we have finally found the most clever costumes and the ones that will make you look fabulous and feel fabulous too.. Read more about mom dad and baby costumes and let us know what you think.
Because we’re so close to Halloween, I’m assuming any last-minute costume shoppers have given up on buying online and are instead considering a late-night Target excursion. I believe you will be able to locate all you need for this amusing toddler costume there. I like Molly of Ain’t No Mom Jeans’ brilliant idea since it’s so unique!
A Baby Saloon Keeper and a School Marm Mom, to be exact.
Sources for the baby’s clothing include:
- $9 on eBay for a baby tuxedo vest set.
- $4 for a pair of red arm garters (reduced to infant size).
- $13 Flour Sack Dish Towel (7 pack)
- True Black 5 Pocket Cords from Baby Gap – $27
- $12 for an Old Navy Oxford Uniform Shirt
Molly points out that the cords may be worn again for Thanksgiving or any other occasion when baby has to dress up a bit. I’d want to point out that Julian has a costume-like vest that he wore two years ago to be a vampire and still wears to be a magician or circus ringmaster when he performs “shows” for our family.
While Molly is all fashion-forward about Mom’s role in this pair, I recommend just digging through your wardrobe to imitate an 1880s Wild West babe. If you don’t have a long skirt, Goodwill is your best buddy this week.
Another advantage of this costume is that by transforming your spouse into a cowboy (if he isn’t already one), you can easily convert it into a completely matched family outfit.
Molly, thank you very much!
In our series, we’ve come up with a few more costume ideas: You’ll definitely wear it again: Molly’s Laura Ingalls costume You’ll definitely wear it again: Carrie transforms her prom outfit into a princess gown. You’ll definitely wear it again: Dottie’s cowgirl costume On BabyCenter.com, I have a reusable toddler railway engineer costume. You’ll definitely wear it again: Caitlin’s cool (small) guy coats
We suggest that in the very near future, babies will be able to be dressed up as saloon staff, and only saloon staff, for their baby showers. We are excited to see how this fun trend will grow in the future.. Read more about family.costumes with baby and let us know what you think.
